According to sources, Shilpa has recently signed on to judge Zara Naach Ke Dikha, a dance reality show to be aired on Star Plus. She seems to be at ease with the television after winning Big Brother and hosting a season of Big Boss and judging a season of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. Go ahead Shipla, we love your moves and grooves. Dharmendra and Hema Malini, who have scorched the screen in popular films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’, ‘Dream Girl’ and ‘The burning Train’ are coming together for a film after 21 years. Both will be doing a guest appearance in daughter Esha Deol’s forthcoming film ‘Tell Me Oh Khuda’.


It is believed that the role was earlier offered to Amitabh Bachchan who refused it and later, producer Hema Malini decided to cast husband Dharmendra and herself for it. “Amitji is not accepting any roles or movies at the moment. We wanted Amitabh to do a role but most probably Dharamji will do it now. We both will be part of ‘Tell Me Oh Khuda’. You will get to see both of us together in the film,” confirmed Hema Malini.

Remember Shiney Ahuja? Latest news on him is that he has completed his scheduled shooting for his upcoming movie Ek Accident opposite Soha Ali Khan. And above all it is his first movie after his release from jail.
Abhijit Chaudhary, the director of the film, along with Arindam Mitra of Guerilla Films is planning the movie for a summer release. Accordingly, it is said that the movie is in the genre of a psychological horror and is aimed at a niche audience. Shiney plays the role of Soha's husband in the film. Soha will also be seen in a different role with a different performance than Shiney. He plays a normal husband while Soha plays a disturbed wife trying to rediscover herself. Rahul Dev is also seen in the film.
Hope this film will mark the return of the actor back to the industry minus the maid hassles.

Popular South Indian beauty Asin Thottumkal is reported to be the heroine opposite John Abraham in the Hindi remake of master filmmaker Gautham Menon's super hit cop story Khakha Khakha (Tamil), starring Suriya and his actress-wife Jyotika. The shooting of this untitled Hindi remake is all set to begin in May under the direction of Nishikant Kamath. The original director Gautam Menon was originally expected to direct the Hindi version, but he stepped out of the project for some reasons.

"Although Genelia was considered for the remake, they dropped the idea as John had already worked with Genelia in Hook Ya Crook and they wanted a fresh pairing. Asin has already worked with Vipul Shah in London Dreams so they decided to sign her. The film is important for John at this stage of his career as his last three films Ashayein, Hook ya Crook and Abbas Tyrewala’s next film have been put on hold for various reasons," a source close to the makers was quoted as saying.

Katrina Kaif received a warm welcome at a media meet to promote her upcoming "Raajneeti" here Saturday evening, but the cold blast from the air conditioner had her shivering, until co-actor Arjun Rampal gallantly took off his coat and offered it to her.
Dressed in a short, sleeveless, pink dress, Katrina found it too cold at the venue. "It's way too cold here. It's so cold!" Katrina was seen whispering to Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal on the stage. While Ranbir chose to nod his head, Arjun displayed chivalry by taking off his black overcoat and handed it to Katrina. She immediately grabbed it and placed it on her legs, which were hidden behind a table on the stage. Moments later, actor Nana Patekar too was seen trying to get the temperature in control by requesting hotel officials to do the needful.

Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have earlier been seen in the film Khakee but that was not really a love story. So when Vipul Shah cast the two again in his film Action Replay, he was sure that he didn't want it to be an ordinary affair. The same brief went to Pritam too. Apart from the agreement the composer was asked to sign to give only original music, Vipul added that he wanted something "out of this world" and his enthusiasm got rubbed on to the composer.
"The music for the film will rock because I wanted to do something really good. Akshay and Ash make an interesting couple and that deserves some good tracks," says Pritam. The making of one of the songs - a Holi song - was revealed on the occasion of Holi a month ago. Pritam says special attention was given to the Holi song and the final climax song. We hope this refreshing couple adds some zing to the drooling career of Ash and Akki helps her get out of her plastic accent.

Vikram Bhatt directed Sushmita Sen in her very first film Dastak. What followed was a tumultuous relationship followed by a rather amicable breakup. Vikram never really lost touch with Sushmita and has admitted she holds a very special place in his life to this day. It therefore comes as no surprise that Vikram is set to cast her in his most expensive and ambitious project to date. After three back-to-back supernatural thrillers, Vikram is ready to make India’s first 3-D horror film, to be titled Yama Dwar.

Says Vikram, “How long can I go on tapping the genre in its given format? So I’m doing a 3-D horror film. The concept of the door to the other word is a part of Hindu mythology. I’m ready to tackle the subject on cinema - it has never been done before. But it has to be done on a lavish scale.” The technical expertise, says Vikram, will have to be imported. As for the casting, Vikram says, “It is an out-and-out female-centric film. I need a strong, assertive, beautiful actress who is in touch with her spiritual side.” And who better than Sush, right Vikram? After all you know too well how strong she is... ok folks stop imagining; we meant it in terms of character and moral strength.

Sanjay Dutt is slowly winning his battle against the bulge. The actor, who was criticized for his lack of physique in Blue and All The Best, has lost 22 kgs. His waistline is down to 32 inches which he admits he last had in his teenage days. He has managed to do this thanks to a special alcohol-free diet recommended by his new trainer Shereveer Vakil. Sanjay admits he was surprised when he started losing weight from the first day of the new diet, even before starting his exercise regime.

Shereveer, who is also the trainer for Ajay Devgn, Kajol and Tabu, however credits the transformation to Sanjay's determination and Maanyata's support. He says he did motivate Sanjay to give up alcohol, but it was Sanjay's self-motivation that did the actual trick. Meanwhile, Sanjay is happy not only with his new physique but with the new clothes he has bought to replace the big old ones.

Sanjay also followed a special diet to get into shape an look fab. "Sanjay went on this special diet in June. It required him to take lots and lots of fattie food and no carbohydrates at all. In fact carbs would've been potentially lethal for this diet. In no time Sanjay started losing weight. And that too without having to give up his favourite food," a source close to Sanjay said. The 50-year-old, who is looking trimmer, plays an assassin out to get his victim with a sniper rifle in Mani Shankar's "Knock Out".

Emraan Hashmi has found a friend in South African supermodel Shella Alan and allegedly, has been seen spending quality time with her. Shella was also seen in a miniscule role in Suparn Verma’s Acid Factory. She plays Emraan’s love interest, apart from debutante Neha Sharma, in Mohit Suri’s Crook. The cast and crew returned on Wednesday after a monthlong schedule in Cape Town. A source reveals, “The Cape Town schedule was fun, where they worked all day long and the cast and crew partied on alternate nights. Shella plays a stripper in the film and was on the sets for around two weeks.”

Of course, pretty women are always part of the entourage on the film set. Shella is a local and played the role of a guide adeptly. The source continues, “Emraan and Shella got along like a house on fire and she accompanied the boys whenever they went out clubbing. She dropped in on the sets, even when she was not required and was seen chatting with Emraan. Her spending so much time with Emraan raised a lot of eyebrows. Everybody could sense the special bond.” The bonding session will spill over to Mumbai soon. “Shella will be coming to India in the first week of April for the remaining shoot,” adds the source. Reportedly, ace director Mani Ratnam has approached actor Silambarasan to dub for Abhishek Bachchan in Raavan, the filmmaker’s magnum opus. Raavan, said to be the modern adaptation of the epic Ramayana, revolves around Ravana, the ruler of Lanka, who kidnapped Sita. The story culminates with Sita taking the side of Raavana instead of Rama, who suspects her chastity after having spent so much time in Ravana’s custody. Vikram plays the villain. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are the lead pair in Hindi, while Vikram will play the lead opposite Aishwarya in Tamil. Music is by Oscar winning A.R. Rahman. Raavan is produced by Mani Ratnam's sister Sharda under Ratnam's banner Madras Talkies. But the reason for this decision is yet to be clarified. Is it for the political turmoil in which the Bachchan's are caught or is it something else?

The extremely talented actor Akshay Kumar is so impressed with director Sajid Khan for the way his film "Housefull" has turned out to be that he gifted him a limited edition Tag Heuer watch to Sajid.

According to sources "Akshay Kumar watched a couple of scenes of the film and loved it. After viewing those few scenes there is no doubt in his mind that the film will do well. He gifted Sajid Khan a watch to show his appreciation," said sources. The romantic comedy is a story of normal people caught in abnormal situations sparked off by a white lie. The film stars Deepika Padukone, Ritesh Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan and Arjun Rampal apart from Akshay.

Sajid Khan also denies reports that his upcoming film 'Housefull' matches a scene from Hollywood comedy 'The Hangover', stating that he is not dumb enough to rip off a scene from a film which is a recent hit. The scene in question involves a tiger. Ever since the promos of the Akshay Kumar-Lara Dutta starrer hit the screens, rumour mills started buzzing that Sajid has lifted the particular scene from 'The Hangover'. "I could see these accusations coming. Yes, there is a tiger in the house, but I'm not dumb enough to rip off a scene from a recent hit film, tweak my original screenplay of 'Housefull' to forcibly incorporate it and then show it to the audience through promos so that rumour mongers can start debating about a lift from 'The Hangover'," the motor mouth Sajid Khan said.

The latest buzz doing the rounds in Bollywood circles is that the film ‘Raavana’s director Mani Ratnam had taken a real life like shot in one of the scenes, which nearly froze the unit due to fright for a moment.

It so happened that the director, who had undergone a bomb scare in real life, when a bomb was hurled at him and luckily it burst in mid air just before it reached him, wanted to incorporate this particular scene in his film ‘Raavana’. Now, the two leads that is, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the south star Vikram, were to be the ones to be attacked with the bomb. For the shoot, a petrol bomb was to be used, this had to be hurled from a distance of 25 feet, and it was supposed to burst mid air just 15feet from where the stars were.
This bit of the scene was to be done with utmost accuracy. As everyone on the sets, including the action director were quite tensed, the leading actors, Aishwarya and Vikram, very bravely enacted the scene. The action master also had done the required act perfectly; the bomb exploded exactly the way the director wanted it to. The actors braved it out and no one had the guts to say that they would not be able to do the stunt scene, out of fear, as no one wanted to upset the respected director’s wish. However, since the shot has already been Okayed, it remains to be seen how effective it will be for the film.

For the very first time in his Bollywood career, Salman Khan is all set to shed his on-screen good boy image and get into the bad guy’s shoes. The hot hunk has been media’s favourite target since past many years, and he will soon portray the darker side of his personality on the big screen.

Salman Khan is currently shooting for brother Arbaaz Khan’s production ‘Dabang’ in Panchgani. Sources from the sets tell us that Salman plays a negative character in the film. “Salman plays a cop in ‘Dabang’, but his role is different from the devoted, ‘ desh-bhakt ’ cop he played in ‘Wanted’. He’s a corrupt policeman in ‘Dabang’,” said our source. Salman is paired opposite Shatrughan Sinha’s beautiful daughter Sonakshi Sinha, who makes her Bollywood debut with this film. Younger brother Arbaaz Khan is also playing an important role in the film and is paired opposite Mahie Gill, who shot to fame with her bold roles in Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Dev.D’ and ‘Gulaal’.

Along with Arbaaz’ debut at production, ‘Dabang’ also marks Abhinav Kashyap’s directorial debut.

Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Ra One’ is one of the most eagerly awaited release because it has got some really cool action sequences are it brings together the super hot chemistry between Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor.It is believed that the Bollywood film has a whooping budget of $22 million However, it is not the budget and the casting which makes the movie so special. Kareena will be seen in Bhandarkar's next ambitious project. Reports suggest that he was longing to make a film on the Hollywood star's life. Bollywood actor Celina Jaitley is going global. It was learnt that the actor has been signed up for a big-budget Hollywood production titled In Your Arms that is rumoured to have ace Hollywood actor John Cusack in it. The film-makers are apparently paying Celina a bomb, a figure that will make her the highest paid Bollywood actor in Hollywood till date.

Deepika Padukone recently performed some of the most daredevil stunts for Lafange Parindey directed by Pradeep Sarkar but escaped unhurt. She plays a tomboy and will be seen wearing leather jackets and riding bikes, jumping over walls and doing spins and somersaults. In fact, Deepika’s co-star Neil Nitin Mukesh is finding it hard to match up to her enthusiasm level. However, things went a little too far at Yash Raj Studios last week. While striding across the road with Neil, Deepika was supposed to fall into a deep and wide muddy pit. Neil’s protective instincts became evident when he told her not to perform the dangerous stunt and a bodydouble was arranged to fall into the deep hole. However, Deepika insisted on doing the stunt herself.

A source says, “Everyone in the unit thought it was too dangerous because Deepika had to walk straight into the pit and fall into the swirling muddy water. Once she fell in the pit only professional divers could help her come out. That’s how deep the hole in the ground was.” Once the camera started rolling, Deepika fell into the pit, pretending it was an accident, and went right to the bottom. Her expertise as a swimmer helped her to hold her breath underwater as divers rushed in to get her out.

Deepika confirmed the incident. “Yes, I did jump into the pit and I had to make it look like an accident so that the scene looked convincing. I had to do whatever it took,” she said.

Now, this dream pair is going to adorn the cover page of Harpers Bazaar. The magazine managed to bring the duo together for the first time ever. Kajol, in her second pregnancy, is still working with admirable dedication. Recently, during a four-day song shoot at Filmistan for Siddharth Malhotra’s remake of Stepmom , Kajol was required to dance energetically. After all, she had to match Elvis’s gyrations in Jailhouse Rock, dressed in black trousers, white shirt and a hat. The filmmakers have bought the rights for the original, making it an interesting track to watch out for.

Kajol was extremely concerned about the side-effects of the moves on her health. A source says, “When the choreographers Bosco and Ceaser showed her the steps during rehearsal, she was apprehensive initially. She requested them to tone down the pace. The choreographers, respecting her wish, changed the sequence. But as the shoot progressed, she got into the groove. As it is one of her favourite songs in the movie, she gave in to the rhythm and the tempo of the song. By the end, she was practically doing what the choreographers had originally planned for her!”

Of course, Kajol’s enthusiasm did not mean that the unit would relax its vigilance. The source continues, “People on the sets surrounded her protectively. There was a sequence where she was supposed to dance on a piano. Kajol was dancing away to glory, but the unit took precautions and were ready to launch into action in case of any problems. The director also suggested that they do away with the piano sequence, but Kajol insisted and managed to do it in two takes.” Kajol, Kareena and Arjun Rampal were part of the song. In the film, Kajol plays Arjun’s ex-wife, while Kareena plays his girlfriend. Director Siddharth Malhotra said, “None of the actors have compromised at all on any steps in the song...seeing is believing, that’s all I can say...they’ve completely had a blast and hopefully all you guys will feel the same when you see the song.”

But it is time you start imagining the classy Kat in the avatar of an item girl. In Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan, she plays an item girl. Quite a shock isn't it? There is more to come when you actually see her making suggestive gestures and sporting all those clothes that suit Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra.

Suddenly, Katrina’s manner and speech have become loud and demonstrative even early in the morning at Malshej Ghat, where the film is currently being shot. The schedule begins at 5am every morning and the actress is giving loads of effort to look effortless in each of the item songs, being choreographed by Farah and her assistant Gita Kapur. In fact Katrina has even shopped for her character’s look, right from clothes to accessories in small shops that sell cheap stuff. Commenting on her shopping frenzy, Katrina says, “It is a challenge doing a complete look for my character. I guess I learnt that from Raajneeti. Every accessory makes you feel more like the character.”

Akshay has been teaching Katrina the art of losing one’s inhibitions while dancing on camera. Katrina says, “I’ve always wanted to freak out on camera, to just get wild. This is my chance.”

For long it has been reported that Arshad Warsi and his wife Maria Goretti have been on a war footing due to marital discord. The reasons ranged from Arshad not being able to give enough time to his family because of his work schedule to having an affair with actor Dia Mirza.

Arshad says Maria and he had to work a lot to iron out the differences and bring stability back into their relationship. “News of my rumoured relationship with Dia damaged my relationship with Maria. It was a vicious thing circulated against me. Though Maria is very understanding, gossip that I was seeing Dia, got to her. My family was threatened. I am a father of two kids (five-year-old son Zeke Warsi and three-year-old daughter Zene Zoe) and I didn’t want these things to affect them because it was not true,” Arshad says.

But why was your family threatened Arshad? Dis you anything naughty... ahem??? Well he added, “On one hand my wife was upset and on the other, Dia, a close friend of mine, was feeling bad that she was being unnecessarily drawn into this controversy. She was projected as the other woman who was trying to break my house.” However, Arshad credits the two women to helping him tide over this crisis. “Had Maria not trusted me, it would have been all over. Meanwhile, even Dia understood that some people with vested interests were playing games,” he says. Well the two women did help you to get out of your so called turbulent love triangle, but sadly enough they could not do anything to save your Hum Tum aur Ghost. We fuess you might take the help of a real ghost to see things through. Your effort to gain publicity for your film was superb Arshad. But as we all know, there is no smoke without fire.... So was everything a rumor or do we really smell something fishy?

Although her maiden acting venture “Aladdin” didn't fare well at the box office last year, former Miss Sri Lanka, Jacqueline Fernandez, definitely grabbed enough eyeballs. Her second film is all set for release next week. Jacqueline tells us about her upcoming film, what the industry has felt like thus far and she even cares to put to rest the rumours of the linkup between her and a certain co-star.

“Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai (JKSAH) is a good humoured romantic flick. It's all about people looking for love and this is the kind of movie that will be liked and appreciated by all. As far as my role is concerned, I'm going to be playing an alien from Venus,” says Jacqueline. Apart from the fact she was offered an interesting role to play, the Sri Lankan beauty found it was a joy to work with debutant director Milap Zaveri. She explains: “We're both new to the industry and the best part about working with him is that we share the same enthusiasm. He's highly energetic and creative and it is fun working with such a director.” She adds: “I live in the moment, taking each day as it comes. I never expected to receive such a warm welcome from people in the industry but here I am doing what I enjoy most.”



As rumours have it, Jacqueline is supposedly dating her “Aladdin”, co-star Ritesh Deshmukh who again has been cast opposite her in “JKSAH”. However, the former beauty queen is quick to clear the air. “First off, just because I'm working with the same co-star again, it doesn't necessarily mean that we are seeing each other. Also, Ritesh wasn't the reason for me doing this film but yes, he's like the cherry on top of the cake!” Jacqueline will be seen next in a special appearance in Sajid Khan's “Housefull” which is slated to release at the end of April. This movie again will be starring Ritesh Deshmukh! We are not saying anything dear... its your films that are raising our brow!!!

Salman Khan has always been in news. When he was jailed in Tere Naam, people said that ithe role was an extension of his own persona. But Sallu defended himself calling the critics "crack heads." But now he will probably not have the luck of doing so for Ranjit Sharma is making a film titled Qaidi No 210, based on the actor's stay in jail in connection to the infamous Chinkara case.

There may not be anything new to see in such a realistic film after what Madhur Bhandarkar has already shown us in Jail. But Ranjit has his cards just right. He has found a man called Mahesh Kumar Saini, who spent three days with Salman in Jodhpur Central Jail in 1996. Sallu's jail mate has provided enough information to Ranjit about the actor. Ranjit said that he met Mahesh, a murder suspect, while researching on the subject and asked him to contact him once he is released from the jail. He added that Salman's cellmate has given details about the actor.

Mahesh is all praise for Salman, saying that he was the nicest man he has ever met and was sure that he was innocent as far as chinkara case is concerned. He is not willing to reveal whatever Salman said but he is sure that the actor did not fire that shot. He claimed that Salman was addicted to coffee and needed a cup of it every hour, and ate nothing in the cell but the chocolates his brother Sohail had given him.

Recounting the days he spent with Salman, he said that the actor ate soyabean he prepared on the second night. They managed to bring dumb bells into the cell for work out though it's not allowed. Mahesh revealed that he arranged a carrom board and a chess board for him, as he was bored. He added that the actor offered to give him Rs.20,000 as a token of his appreciation but he had asked him to find him a job instead once he is released.

We do hope that this film will show the benevolent side of Sallu. But you can never trust the cops darling. God knows what they will find this time about the robust actor???

Your fame often robs you off your most prized possessions ~ Privacy. That is what Rani Mukherjee learnt recently. Rani decided to go for shopping at Khan Market in Delhi, thinking that she might not be recognised but she almost ended up being mobbed by the public.

Rani, who is currently shooting for Rajkumar Gupta's No One Killed Jessica in Delhi, did some shopping unescorted, and without her driver, as the market is just a kilometre away from her hotel. Just as she was beginning to enjoy window-shopping, she heard some people calling out her name. To her surprise, a huge crowd had gathered around her. Sensing the danger, Rani called his driver to pick her. Luckily, she was zoomed back to her hotel before the crowd turned too big. And her secret day out was spoiled! We wonder why she thought that people would not recognise her. Though we agree that she has not been a success in the past few years, but Rani, you are still the queen of Bollywood.
